We've still been eating "clean-ish" around our house. It was discouraging for a while because we kept making recipes that just didn't taste that great. I won't share any of the yucky ones with you, because I like you too much to have you suffer through gross meals as we suffered... We've started doing some recipes that sometimes include milk, cheese, butter or whole wheat flour, and have had much more luck finding some AMAZING recipes.
The time it takes to find clean recipes is... well... a lot. So I want to share some of the fruits of my pinteresting labors and let you know the best of the best "Clean-ish" recipes we've found. All of these are approved by myself, my husband and most importantly our 2 picky girls. They have gone into our meal planning rotation for LIFE. All of these are winners...
Best thing??? All of them made enough for us to have leftovers the next day for lunch or dinner, and that's kind of a big deal.

The texture on this recipe took all of us a few bites to get used to. But after that, I think it's great. We did not do the optional topping on top because I think it'd be too much for the girls, but it might be great!

This is one of the recipes that uses a little bit of butter (1 Tbsp), a little bit of flour (2 Tbsp), a cup of milk, and some cheese. But it was SO good. We're hoping to freeze some of this so we can have it at a moments notice. It was just cheesy enough to taste good, but not so cheesy that you know it's bad.

Holy Yum! SOOOO good. We served it over rice, and only added 2 Tbsp of green curry paste (next time we'll add more). Some of the ingredients are the "cleanest" but for the most part this recipe is clean, and definitely FABULOUS.

This was GREAT! The girls scarfed it down. Once again, some butter and whole wheat flour, milk and salt. But it such a minimal amount, that I think it's so worth it. This is filling and just great. I think it might freeze well, so we might try that next time. Like an amazing "clean-ish) casserole. Yum, yum, yum.

20-Minute Curried Salmon Stir-Fry by Clean Cuisine
Bryan and I loved this. It was just wonderful. The girls liked the salmon part, but they both have a silly aversion to vegetables so next time we'll probably chop them up smaller to trick those picky girls. It was quick to make and amazing to eat.
