The best part about running errands together as a family..? Getting free longhorn football schedules. :)

Texas vs Wyoming. Addi's first UT football game and Bryan's and my first UT game together! (Thanks mom for getting us tickets!) Addi sang the "T-E-X-A-S" song at the top of her lungs. The people sitting in front of us turned around and gave her a high-five. I was a proud mama. Indoctrination in progress.
Guess who's been refinishing my antique furniture while the girls play outside in the backyard?? Oh ya.... only the man of my dreams.
As of August 28th, Bryan has been doing TaeKwonDo for 18 years. So the girls, my mom and I went to the school and decorated! I may have also spent much to much time making ninja cookies. And, because it has become clear that there is no escaping TKD, on August 28th, I took my first TKD class. Therefore, August 28th from now on will be both of our TKD birthdays! Happy TKD Birthday to us!
I think there is some mutual love going on. The girls are phasing in the world "daddy" and I think Bryan is finally not in shock every time he hears it.
I couldn't ask for a better man to help raise our girls and to be the example of what a marriage should look like and how a man should treat them. I'm so grateful that the girls are young and that Bryan will always be their "daddy". He is wonderful. Truly wonderful. The morning started out with engagement pictures taken by my wonderful friend Andrew. Later there were cookies from Round Rock donuts. In the afternoon there was snuggle time with Bryan. And Pre-K workbooks to finish the day. :)
OK. Don't hate us... but neither Bryan nor I are big Blue Bell Ice Cream fans. Gasp! I know. But we knew a stop at the factory was a must in the middle of our road trip to east Texas. What better way to bribe two young girls to have good behavior than to promise some ice cream?? Both of the girls' Minnie Mouse dolls came along too. And, I'll hand it to Blue Bell, I really liked the ice cream I ate at the factory. But I'll still be a HEB Creamy Creations fan for life.
"In this family we WILL wear the hats!" Date Night at Razzoo's. The night where we learned that I'm weak-sauce when it comes to spicy Cajun food and where we learned that in pictures, Bryan sometimes has a fat neck.
"I love you and your fat neck!" :) |
