Recently Bryan and I decided that we needed to make a change in how we were eating.
Surprisingly, we haven't gained much weight from our many late night runs to Walgreens to get Totino’s pizza and ice cream... but our bodies were definitely feeling the lack of nutrition.
Everyone I know seems to be on some sort of diet or has some sort of dietary restrictions…. No gluten, no dairy, no sugar, etc. And I KNOW that just would not work for us. I need to have some sort of yummy treat everyday, and I need to have bread and dairy. I need pizza and cookies. I need to not feel deprived and restricted.

While Bryan was out of town, I began to watch a film called “Hungry for Change”. Part way through the film, I turned it off and knew that Bryan and I had to watch it together. It made sense to me. It made me stop, and think, and realize where we could be better. We watched it together when he got back in town and we both agreed that HAD to make some changes.
I’ve had some people want to know about clean eating, and what we’re doing to “eat clean”. Since after only 1 week, we’ve had some amazing results, I am more than happy to document our journey and share with you what I learn as I learn it. I know that this will be something our family will be doing for LIFE.
We’re not going “cold turkey” and trying to be “perfect” in our clean eating. We’re just trying to be better, more educated consumers. We want to feed our children and ourselves foods that will be good for our bodies and foods that will benefit our lives.
I will be sharing what we are doing to eat "clean" and what works and doesn't work for us. Eating clean takes lots of research before even leaving the house and going to the grocery store... but the benefits are well worth it and I can't wait to share all that I've learned!
